Are you handicap accessible?
No. However, we can accommodate people who use wheelchairs ONLY if they are ambulatory. They must be able to get in and out of both the bus and the aircraft ON THEIR OWN. We cannot store wheelchairs on our buses or at our check-in facility.
PEOPLE WHO MEET THE CRITERIA CAN ONLY BE OFFERED OUR DELUXE AIR TOUR.
The Freedom/Adventure/Air-Ground tours are not handicap accessible since the ground at the canyon is uneven and not paved in many areas. Also we can not take wheelchairs on the aircraft and there are no wheelchair rentals at the canyon.
Why do we need to provide passenger body weights?
We require as accurate a body weight as possible at the time the tour is booked. There are two reasons for this request.
We have a maximum body weight of 280 pounds, 20 stones or 127 kilograms per person. We do re-weigh all passengers upon check-in.
We must, by law, provide an accurate flight manifest that accompanies the pilot aboard the aircraft. If we do not have accurate weights at the time of booking we are forced to delay departures to complete this paperwork.
Why do children pay full fares?
Anyone who occupies an individual seat must pay the full fare. An infant who weighs less than 20 pounds (1.3 stones or 9 kilograms) may be held on the mother’s lap at no charge. The infant will be weighed at the airport.
Can passengers bring their luggage if they checked out of their hotel?
Unfortunately, our busses do not have a luggage storage area aboard, so all bags must be left at the bell desk at your hotel. In addition, our busses, by law, are not allowed into McCarran International Airport so we are not able to drop off people off at the airport instead of the hotel.
How should passengers dress?
Passengers should wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes (no heels). Women should be advised to wear slacks or shorts. There is no lady-like way to get in and out of these small touring aircraft. For women who choose to wear short skirts or dresses this could be a source of embarrassment. In the winter months advise temperature at the Canyon can be as much as 20 degrees cooler than Las Vegas. It is best to take a jacket or sweater that can be left on the plane if it is not needed. During the summer months the temperature is very similar to what we have here in as Las Vegas.
How accurate are the hotel pick-up times we are given?
Pick-up times are approximate and you should try to be at the pick-up location at least ten minutes before the assigned time. If the bus isn’t there exactly at the designated time it is usually due to traffic delays or lost passengers who were not where they were suppose to be.
If there is any doubt about the pick-up location passengers should contact hotel security or call us at 702-736-7777 the evening before the tour. We can only wait five (5) minutes beyond the assigned pick-up time before the bus must move on. We will not go back for passengers who were late, or at the wrong location. Doing so makes our busses late for every subsequent passenger stop, and delays flight departures.
What if a passenger requests a certain type of airplane?
We operate both single and twin engine aircraft (these planes seat 5, 6, 8 or 9 passengers). Due to group sizes and weight distribution we cannot guarantee passengers a specific aircraft type. We make every attempt to accommodate these requests but can not guarantee them. Groups of six, eight or nine are not always seated on the same plane due to weight issues. Please be sure to advise these size groups they may not be traveling together. Any requests of this type should be made at the time of booking not at the airport.
What is the policy on deposit or fare refunds?
Refunds of the deposit or airfare are to be made if the cancellation of the flight is due to weather or mechanical difficulties A passenger who decides not to fly after paying for their flight will not receive any refund if the decision not to fly was their own and not the result of weather or mechanical failure.
What is your payment and cancellation policy?
All transactions will be conducted in United States Currency, U.S. Dollars.
All tours must be paid in full prior to departure.
Card charged 100% of total price for passenger cancellation within 24 hours of tour date and no shows on the day of the tour/activity or show. Please read your confirmation clearly to ensure you have entered the correct date you wish to conduct the tour/activity or show.
Orders placed and subsequently cancelled prior to 24 hours before tour date will be charged a $25.00 per person, non-negotiable, non-refundable administration fee.
Individual fare refunds will only be issued for the following reasons:
Refunds will be issued in the same monetary form as when collected. Prepaid Customers must go through their original booking agency to receive their applicable refund.
Inclement Weather Cancellation When inclement weather forces cancellation of a flight, every effort is made to rebook the passengers for a flight later that same day or the next day. If passengers are unable to reschedule, a complete refund of the net fare collected at the time of check in will
be issued. In the event un-forecast, inclement weather prohibits aircraft from landing at the Grand Canyon Airport, on the Air & Ground tour, each passenger will be refunded only the ground tour portion of the tour price. Mechanical Cancellation. When a mechanical issue arises on a plane that forces a flight cancellation we make every attempt to place the passengers on another plane. If no plane is available we attempt to reschedule the passengers for later that day or the next available flight. If unable to reschedule we will refund the net fare collected.
IMPORTANT REFUND INFORMATION WITH REGARD TO PASSENGERS WHO CHOOSE NOT TO FLY UPON ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT, ARE ILL, OR WHO CANCEL WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE FLIGHT DEPARTURE. There are no refunds issued simply because a passenger chooses not to fly, is ill, or cancels for any reason within 24 hours of the flight. In addition, any passenger whose weight exceeds the maximum allowable (280 pounds) could be denied boarding and there will be no refund issued.
